Privacy Policy
This is my personal portfolio and blog. I keep data collection to what a small static site needs to run, stay secure and let me understand roughly how it is used. This page explains what is collected, by which service, why, and what you can do about it. It also covers the copyright of the content you see here.
Who is responsible
The site is run by Hüdaverdi Ural, an individual based in Istanbul, Türkiye, who acts as the data controller. You can reach me at uralhudaverdi@gmail.com or through the contact page.
What is collected, and by whom

Cookies and your choice
The site sets no cookies of its own. The only cookies come from Google Analytics 4 (_ga and _ga_*), and they are optional: when you first visit, a banner asks whether analytics may run. Nothing from Google is loaded until you choose "Allow" or save preferences with analytics switched on. Under "Manage preferences" the analytics switch is shown on; switch it off and save, and the script never loads and any earlier _ga cookies are removed. Your decision is stored in your browser and asked again after 12 months.
- Change your mind at any time via Cookie preferences in the footer of every page.
- Blocking or clearing cookies in your browser, or a content blocker, also keeps analytics off. The site works fully without cookies.
- Google's Analytics opt-out add-on blocks Google Analytics on every site, not just this one.
Sharing and international transfers
I do not sell or trade personal data. It is processed only by the services listed above, each under its own privacy terms, and shared beyond that only if the law requires it. Some of these providers run servers outside Türkiye and the European Union, mainly in the United States, and rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards for those transfers.
Your rights
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) you can ask what data I hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its processing, and receive a copy in a portable format. Email uralhudaverdi@gmail.com and I will answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Personal Data Protection Authority in Türkiye or to the data protection authority in your own country.
In practice, the only personal data I actually hold is what you send through the contact form. Analytics data is pseudonymous and I cannot link it to a specific person.
Children
This site is not specifically designed for children. I do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has shared personal information through the site, please get in touch with me.

Unless stated otherwise, the texts, designs, illustrations and photographs on this site are © Hüdaverdi Ural. Client work is shown with permission as part of my portfolio; those brands, products and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Third-party images on the blog are used under licence or with permission and credited under the picture.
- You may quote short excerpts of my articles with a clear link back to the original page.
- Republishing articles, images or designs in full, or using them commercially, needs my written permission. Just ask.
- My articles may also appear on other platforms, such as Medium, always with this site marked as the original source.
Changes to this page
When a service is added or removed I update this page and the date at the top. Substantial changes are also mentioned on the blog.
